Apart from newly erected power plants Pöyry has realised many projects with rehabilitation of hydraulic structures and equipment, such as extensions, reconstructions, rehabilitations, improvements and revisions of existing hydropower plants.
The ROT ('Rehabilitate-Operate-Transfer') scheme developed by Pöyry is an ideal example to implement such rehabilitation projects. The ROT solution for hydropower plant rehabilitation is based on the model of BOT schemes, and offers the advantage of providing a plant owner with a single-point partner, able to assume the risks inherent in refurbishment schemes. |
