The project includes engineering design, interfacing, drawing preparation and construction supervision. The scheme consists of two CFRDs, twin headrace tunnels, shafts and a power cavern with an installed capacity of 4 x 250 MW. It is the first project in Iran for the design and construction of concrete faced dams and the first construction of a pumped-storage scheme. download(en) New Naga Hammadi Barrage and Hydropower Plant, Egypt 1998...2008 The new barrage is located some 3.5 km downstream of the existing barrage and consists of 7 gated sluiceway bays, a powerhouse with 4 bulb turbines with a maximum discharge of 418 m3/s each, and two navigation locks. The total installed capacity of the plant is 64 MW, generating an average 464 GWh/a of energy.
