Cogeneration - CHP
Efficient and reliable energy for industry and municipalities
- power
- steam
- hot water
- cooling
- district heating
Combined heat and power (CHP) generation, also known as cogeneration, is the simultaneous production of electricity and heat from a single power plant.
The savings of primary energy achieved with CHP are typically more than 25% compared with separate generation of power and heat.
CHP is more economical and environmentally sounder than separate generation. This makes CHP attractive at least for:
- Industrial companies with continuous demand for heat and electricity in their production
- Cities/communities with district-heating/cooling system
- Investors who are interested in making profit by investing in energy business
- Companies and nations who are interested in sustainable development, in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and in achieving national CO2 reduction targets
CHP based on renewable fuel such as biomass is the most sustainable energy generation solution available today.
Our mission is to design and engineer reliable, cost-effective and environmentally sound new and refurbished power plants and keep them running with outstanding performance!
