Decomissioning
The Pöyry Energy business group has given support to the decommissioning of redundant nuclear plant for many years, and is fully conversant with the regulatory and operational requirements for decommissioning works.
The Pöyry Energy business group has provided the following services:

- Development of appropriate Decommissioning Strategies for Redundant Facilities.
- Preparation of Decommissioning Plans and Programmes, including outline Methodologies and method statements.
- Preparation of Decommissioning Safety Cases and Safety Justifications.
- Preparation of Decommissioning Option Studies, including the identification and development of dismantling techniques.
- Decommissioning cost assessments including the use of Unit Cost Methodologies.
- Contractor performance assessment utilising QS techniques.
- Advising clients on establishing cost effective Care and Maintenance Regimes for redundant facilities.
